Always growing – never slowing— Victoria International Airport (YJJ) has seen a steady increase of passengers in recent years. The growing need to expand their terminal and especially the Baggage Reclaim area was essential for maintaining their high level of customer service excellence. V.I.A. has been named Best Regional Airport in North America for Customer Service twice in the last three years. While a new Baggage Reclaim area is constructed a temporary area for passengers to pick up their luggage was required.
A 6,000 sq. ft. MegaDome® represented the ideal solution, offering portability and clear span trusses which maximized the useable floor space. When the terminal expansion is completed the MegaDome® will be relocated on site for an alternate use.
